At the end of last night’s 2-hour finale of  The Bachelor, Sean Lowe proposed to the 26 year old, Graphic Designer Catherine Giudici after saying goodbye to Lindsay Yenter.

“I think the world of you and I miss you every time we have to say goodbye.  I don’t want to say goodbye anymore,” Sean tells her.  “Catherine, I want to spend the rest of my life telling you, ‘I love you,’ and making you feel like the most special, beautiful woman in the world.”

He got down on one knee and asked, “Catherine, will you marry me?”  Her hands were shaking as he presented her with a 3-carat, cushion cut, Neil Lane diamond ring.

After the emotional finale, Sean and his new fiance appeared on the After the Final Rose special for the first in public as a couple.  They spoke with Chris Harrison about the next step in their adventure.

“A marriage follows a proposal,” Sean said.  “We don’t have a date yet, but we have decided that we think it would be cool, since our relationship started and it was developed and cultivated on a TV show- we’ll have our wedding on a TV show.  And ABC will cover the wedding.”

Both Catherine and Sean agreed they did not want to wait too long before having a wedding.  They are ready to spend the the rest of their lives together.

Congrats to Sean and Catherine!  May they live happily ever after.  Of course, they will have to wait until Sean is finished competing on the new season of Dancing with the Stars.  Sean’s announcement was made live on Good Morning America this morning. I guess we will be seeing A LOT more of Mr. Lowe in the very near future!
